Philosophy and Approach:

Looking for support takes courage, especially when life is challenging. Many of us are aching for connection, and many of us are longing to improve our relationships. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help individuals and couples examine relational patterns and strengthen bonds. I will provide a safe space for you to process your pain and heal your heart.

I bring significant life experience to the therapeutic process. I am especially qualified to work with adults who are facing difficult life transitions, grief, and loss. If you’re feeling anxious, depressed or overwhelmed, you are not alone. I hope you will reach out to me if you are struggling to find meaning, purpose, and joy. Together we can develop an action plan with your unique goals, hopes, and desires in mind.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, I have comprehensive training in individual, couples, and family counseling.

Formal Education, Training, and Experience:

I completed my Master of Arts degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Counseling at George Fox University. Major coursework included Clinical Internship, Principles and Techniques of Counseling, Couple and Family Therapy, Personality and Counseling Theory, Psychopathology, Social and Cultural Foundation, Group Theory and Therapy, Human Growth and Development, Lifestyle and Career Development, and Addiction Counseling.

I have completed a special externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) through the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), training in transforming addiction through EFT, and Level 1 Restoration Therapy Training.

Continuing Education and Supervision:

I am currently a registered associate in the state of Oregon (#R8329). As a registered associate, I adhere to the Code of Ethics set by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and American Counseling Association. Supervisors abide by their respective national Board’s Code of Ethics, the State of Oregon laws, statutes, regulations and rules. My current supervisor is Terra Mattson, LMFT (OR), License (#TO733). My counseling session may be recorded and shared with my supervisor, with your consent, for training purposes.
