Healthy leaders know what they need and can tune-in to the needs of others. This can take time and practice, so be patient with yourself.

We suggest starting a daily habit of journaling for just 10 minutes. Ideally, grab a pen and paper and take inventory of your inner world.

Ask yourself the following questions as you journal:

• Where am I holding the most tension in my body?

• Name the emotion.

• What would it say if it could talk?

• What does it need to feel more calm?

• Now advocate for that very need.
