Episode 229: How to Stay Healthy When Counseling Others

Powered by RedCircle

With Dr. Michelle Dr. Michelle Engblom-Deglmann

Calling all therapists, both emerging and seasoned, this episode is for you! Today Terra and Dr. Michelle discuss what they have discovered about themselves as experienced clinicians and share what they feel is important for therapists to know as you learn and grow and step into your authentic self in your career.

Dr. Michelle is a tenured professor of counseling at George Fox University, a licensed marriage and family therapist, an international speaker, published scholar, supervisor, and teacher. Inspired by her own journey of self discovery in her career, she guides counselors to find their authentic selves in their work. Beyond her professional roles, she is a wife, mother to a spunky tween, a baker, a runner, a nature lover, a reader and a learner.

Are you an emerging or seasoned social worker, counselor or marriage and family therapist? Do you want to have a thriving career and not be a statistic of your career path? Do you want to live a more wholehearted life at home, work and in your community and not burnout. Do you want to be a leader who lives what you preach and breathes that into the lives of those you lead? Do you want to better understand trauma, secondary trauma, and increase your effectiveness with your clients? Do you need hours toward licensure (OR, WA, CA only) or CE’s to mature as a clinician learning the LW holistic approach of healing. Do you want to build a thriving private practice or create a trusted community of counselors in your community? Do you want a community of like-minded clinicians and be coached by Terra Mattson and Dr. Michelle Engblom-Deglmann?

Living Wholehearted is accepting applications for our very first Helper's Cohort that will launch in the fall of 2024!
