Terra Mattson

Terra, alongside her husband Jeff Mattson, co-founded Living Wholehearted and Courageous Girls. With a diverse background spanning CEO roles, marriage and family therapy, clinical supervision, social entrepreneurship, executive coaching, and more, she brings a wealth of experience from various settings including private practice, community mental health, and church ministry, non-profit and for-profit organizations.

Over nearly two decades, she led a thriving private practice while speaking at various events like the American Association of Christian Counselors World Conference, YPO Conferences, and Murdock Trust Foundation. Her writing and speaking engagements have appeared in numerous outlets including the Carey Nieuwhof Show, Christianity Today, and Focus on the Family. As the founding Clinical Director of Living Wholehearted Counseling, she's committed to helping leaders cultivate healthier relationships in their home, work, and communities.

Terra is an accomplished author, penning "Courageous: Being Daughter Rooted in Grace" and co-authoring "Shrinking the Integrity Gap." She was the visionary for the Courageous Gathering and co-hosts the Living Wholehearted Podcast and Dear Mattson’s parenting podcast with Jeff. Founder of Courageous Girls, she also collaborated with Christian Parenting on courses for mothers and daughters.

While she took a sabbatical from counseling in 2020, Terra remains active training and supervising, leading Wholehearted Leadership Cohorts, executive coaching, writing, and speaking. She is also the founder and Executive Director of a non-profit, Courageous Girls.

To maintain my licenses, I am required to participate in ongoing continuing education every year. I also supervise and provide continuing education to professional counselors and pastors on topics like marriage and family, play therapy, trauma recovery, spiritual abuse recovery, sexual betrayal and abuse recovery, leadership and trauma through Living Wholehearted and the American Association for Christian Counselors.

  • 50-minute sessions are $250

    80-minute sessions are $375

    Day intensives are generally $1500 for vision, family, and couples retreats.

  • Payment is made upfront on a weekly or monthly basis via cash, check, or credit card.

  • All coaching sessions will be virtual unless otherwise discussed.

    Organizational Teams, Vision Retreats, and Couple’s Intensives are available upon request.
