Executive Coaching Philosophy and Approach
My history includes many years as a transformational servant leader and executive coach. I recognize that a basic hallmark of leadership is the ability to demonstrate character, integrity, and truth. It takes a dedicated spirit of this truth and reality to navigate today’s global business landscape.
Effective leaders are intentional and because this characteristic represents a very critical success factor, it is important to align with a Coach who has experienced success and delivered results. My background and experience represent these attributes.
I have been a trusted leader with many global C-suite assignments serving companies like American Airlines, Accenture, and Verizon, as well as multiple business launches with emerging value-based early-stage companies. Numerous public and private board seats enhance the experience and applied wisdom.
Leadership roles in religious and civic organizations include, Elder, Bible Study Leader and Sunday School Teacher. I am a Certified Grief Counselor and I have held numerous fiduciary roles in civic organizations to complement the broad range of my service experience.
Formal Education, Training and Administrative Experiences
Joe earned an Undergraduate degree in Finance & Economics from San Diego State University and completed Post-Grad Certificate Programs at the University of Chicago, and Stanford University.
His academic service includes tenure as Chairman of the MBA Curriculum Committee and as Distinguished Executive in Residence for the University of North Texas, Dallas, Distinguished Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor in the MBA Program at the Neely School of Business, Texas Christian University (TCU), Fort Worth, and Distinguished Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor in the MBA School at the University of Washington, Seattle.
He is widely known for his work in Human Capital Development and serves as an Advisor and Executive Coach for many organizations focused on high integrity performance.
Joe served as Founding Chairman of Delta Energy & Communications and is an active investor in numerous early-stage technology companies. He recently retired as Chairman & President of the Charbonneau Golf Club.
He lives in Wilsonville, Oregon, with his wife, Dee, who is a retired Music Director and Piano Teacher.
